This is a new feature I added to the website last night! I’m so excited to share my printables with everyone in one convenient place. You can download these worksheets in my Printables Library. She is amazing you guys! If any of my mom blogger friends are looking for some cute clipart to use for your printables (especially if they’re for kids) look through her Etsy store. Not only has she been super friendly when I ask if I can use her work in my printables, but she made these little caterpillar heads specifically for this worksheet. I want to thank PinkPueblo once again for providing me with the caterpillar clipart. This caterpillar counting activity is great for preschoolers, especially if you’re doing a bug theme like us! It combines fine motor development and counting into one fun craft. He asked me to count along as I squeezed out little dots of glue, and then he would stick the pom-poms on, counting again! We talked about how the caterpillars were increasing in size as we went along, and how each caterpillar was gaining one pom-pom. Thank goodness we had some pom-poms leftover from a previous craft! Jackson had more fun gluing those on than he did with the paint. We started off doing it that way, but Jackson quickly lost interest, so I had to improvise! I’ve seen this idea on Pinterest before, where the kids use paint on their index finger to make the body of the caterpillars, counting as they go. ![]() We’re still learning all about bugs! This Caterpillar Counting Activity was so fun, and it kept them occupied for longer than I expected! Max is only 2, so he mostly just painted and played with the pom-poms, but Jackson (4 years old) really got a kick out of it. This caterpillar counting activity is the perfect worksheet to teach your preschooler about Spring.
